Anatomy demonstrators

Interested in becoming one of our Anatomy Demonstrators?

Anatomy Demonstrators are essential members of our teaching team and are important players in the development of our students thorough guidance, support and delivery of high quality anatomical teaching. We hope all demonstrators will be enthusiastic teachers, good communicators and display excellent interpersonal skills. In addition they should possess the ability to effectively and cooperatively work within a team. If you are interested in becoming one of our demonstrators, there are two routes you can apply for:

  1. Undertake a four-month Anatomy Demonstrator rotation as part of the Brighton and Sussex F2 programme. If you are interested in this route you should direct enquiries to the South Thames Foundation School.

  2. Undertake a 12-month period as an Anatomy Demonstrator. Demonstrators on this programme are required to take part in a 1:5 rotation as Resident Medical Officer at the Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital, covering 24 hours per session. As well as the demonstratorship element of the programme, successful candidates will liaise with all consultant users (most of whom work within Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust) and have a fantastic opportunity to see a wide variety of surgical procedures and techniques.
