Dr Harry Witchel, expert on music and territory, contributes to ‘The No.219 Sodcast Project’ broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
‘Sodcasting’, or playing loud music in public spaces, has become commonplace on public transportation. Dr Witchel helps Ian McMillan understand the social phenomenon as he engages with sodcasters and passengers. As one of the main experts on ‘sodcasting’, Dr Witchel explores how sodcasters create a physical space with their music, uniting them with their peers whilst alienating them from others.
Dr Witchel has recently been on the radio in North America and throughout the UK.
