From Brighton to Leicester Square
December 02, 2011 at 9:48 AM
A film produced by students on the BSMS MSc Global Health made the finals of a national student film festival, Campus MovieFest, the world's largest student film festival.
The film was shown as part of a London screening at the Odeon Leicester Square in London on Saturday 3 December.
A lonely guy needs help in Brighton. He becomes increasingly desperate. On his journey around the town, he wanders around famous Brighton landmarks, including the Pier, the Big Wheel, the train station, the Banksy graffiti, St James Street, the Royal Sussex County Hospital, the Hove Bandstand and a Red Telephone Box. He meets a group of Korean girls, language students, an American tourist, a gambler, passengers at a train station, the homeless, two doctors and a young family with a special daughter. What would you do? Nobody understands him but he keeps trying. Why?
An amateur team of film makers from Brighton & Sussex Medical School try to highlight the issue of barriers and prejudice. Please watch this and tell us if you like it.
