Professor Fallowfield said

"It was a truly wonderful and surprising honour to receive such a prestigious accolade from my oncology colleagues especially as I am a psychologist not even an oncologist.

My research team are 100% research grant income funded, and this year has been a very difficult one for us all, so the award was also a terrific boost to everyone's morale, a chance to celebrate the successes and benefits our research has brought not only to patients and their relatives but also health care professionals".
