Caroline provides programme advice and consultancy to a number of IPGM course modules, including: commissioning; knowledge management; professional and personal development/leadership; and quality.

As an independent management consultant,  Caroline works principally within health and social care. 

Caroline is particularly interested in increasing capacity and capability in organisations; developing leaders to improve performance; and enhancing responsiveness and engagement across organisations and communities.

From 1992 – 2007, before working independently, Caroline worked in the National Health Service in London, Surrey and Sussex for Health Authorities and Primary Care Trusts in a range of general management roles.

For twelve years, Caroline was an Executive Director on NHS boards where she held responsibilities including: Commissioning; Human Resources/Organisational Development; Performance Management; Communications; Partnership working across Sectors; Patient and Public Involvement; and Equality and Diversity.

Prior to the NHS, she worked in the voluntary sector, local government and academic departments where she addressed a wide range of social policy and organisational development issues.

Caroline now works with a range of clients across the health and social care sectors. She is also an Affiliate Consultant at the Audit Commission.

Caroline has been a Tutorial Fellow at the University of Sussex, and a Visiting Lecturer at Brighton Business School.

Caroline originally graduated with a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Literature  from the University of East Anglia (1983); and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics  (1984); and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Roffey Park Institute ( 1997 University of Sussex accredited).
