IELTS scores required for non-native speakers: 7.0 in each component
Eligibility for funding
Projects funded by BSMS are generally open to students from all countries, but fees are usually only paid at the UK/EU rate. International students would thus be liable for top up fees.
Projects funded by research councils (eg MRC) have strict guidelines on eligibility. Research councils rarely fund non-UK citizens. For details on eligibility please check with the research councils themselves.
