Research focus:

My main research interests are in the area of adaptation to ill health and measuring health outcomes, primarily in the field of head and neck cancer. Also, in the application of social cognition models to the understanding of health behaviours and outcomes in a range of illness groups (e.g. haemophilia, cancer, hay fever, sexually transmitted infections) including adherence to treatment regimens and medication, satisfaction with information and quality of life issues. More recently, I have been investigating the acceptability of novel screening methods for sexually transmitted infections using multi-research methods.
