Teaching focus:
I will be teaching quantitative research methods on the undergraduate Social Science and Research Methods course (Module SS103) and the Research Project course (Module SS238) at the School of Applied Social Sciences, University of Brighton. I have also given a lecture on assessments for tailoring health care on the MSc Health Psychology course Conducting Health Psychology Research (Module M10) at the University of Surrey.
Research focus:
My main research interests are in the application of social cognition models to the understanding of health-related behaviours such as adherence to self-care regimens in adolescents and young adults with anaphylaxis. I have also been investigating the effects of written emotional disclosure on lung function and quality of life in adults with asthma.
