Previous Roles

Claire completed a PhD on vitamin D signalling in breast cancer at the University of Birmingham, UK and University of Kuopio, Finland in 2005. Between submitting her PhD and having the viva, sheI worked at Omnicare Clinical Research Ltd, UK doing clinical research data entry. After gaining her PhD, she took a career break and independently travelled around the world for eight months. On her return she then worked as a Research Associate on the role of ATM in breast cancer at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.  Following this Claire then worked as a Research Associate on the role of Epstein Barr virus in Burkitt’s lymphoma at the University of Sussex, UK. Since August 2007 she has been the Project Manager of this research study.

 

Role undertaking on the EU TB diagnostics project

As the Project Manager Claire is co-ordinating the study and liaising with all partners and the funding body (EU). Claire spends time at all the study sites facilitating the smooth running of the project. This means that her role is varied and involves all aspects of the study. Claire also helps to establish deadlines, monitor progress and troubleshoot so that the project milestones can be met.
