Qualifications
- Two years training as a Leprosy Control Assistant
- Six weeks training in dermatology
- Six weeks training in HIV counselling and testing
Previous Roles
- Treated leprosy and TB patients in the Karonga District
- Mass survey of leprosy in the Karonga District
- Co-ordinated a short duration treatment study in non-lepromatous and lepromatous patients in Karonga and Rumphi Districts funded by WHO.
Role undertaking on the EU TB diagnostics project
Recruiting study participants in the field, which includes taking blood samples, pre- and post-test counselling for HIV and collecting sputum samples for TB suspects.
