Previous roles

Christine's interest in research started when she worked at the Community Health clinics, assisting with research projects. Her career as a research nurse started in 1998 working on different projects at University of Cape Town, Medical Research Council, Stellenbosch University, UCT Lung Institute. Christine has also worked as a study coordinator for a company doing various drug trials.

 

Role undertaking on EU TB diagnostics project

Christine's role on the EU TB diagnostic project will be the research nurse at Red Cross Hospital. She will be screening and recruiting patients, assisting the Medical Officer, performing investigations i.e., induced sputum, phlebotomy, coordinating results and follow-up visits.
