Other information

I am involved with communication skills training workshops and courses nationally throughout the UK and internationally. These are conducted as part of CRUK research programmes, commissions from the Department of Health and invitations from a variety of sources including workshops within academic meetings, individual hospitals and organisations such as the National Cancer Research Network, Wales Cancer Trials Network and industry.

I am involved in the development of patient-friendly DVDs for MRC, CRUK and industry funded trials. These are usually especially hard to recruit to trials that need even-handed information presented in jargon-free language and with helpful graphics.
