BSMS professor shortlisted for BMJ award

Professor Lesley Fallowfield, Director of the Cancer Research UK Physchosocial Oncology Unit has been shortlisted for the BMJ Group Award for Lifetime Achievement.
This award is given to the individual who has, over his or her working lifetime, made a unique and substantial contribution to improving healthcare.
Professor Fallowfield has pioneered quality of life (QoL) assessment in breast cancer trials, and quickly established herself as one of the world’s leading exponents of psychosocial oncology research, developing and validating numerous instruments to measure the (QoL) in cancer trials.
