Christmas came early last week, with angels, shepherds, gangsters and dozens of Santa Clauses taking over the foyer. MedSoc students organised mince pies, cakes, face painting and competitions, with music drowning out the yelps of those who volunteered to have various parts of them waxed.

Almost £700 was raised to help raise funds for the 26 medical students who will be hitch hiking in Morocco next Easter for Link Community Development. This is a charity working to improve education in Ghana, Uganda and South Africa: visit www.lcd.org.uk for more information.
