Poet and writer Clare Best (view Clare's blog here) and film maker Tim Andrews met through the Ethics in Performance series at Brighton and Sussex Medical School a few years ago. Both felt they wanted to collaborate on a project of their own.

Clare explains that Take Me With You: the museum of friendship, remembrance and loss began with this question: 'If each of us could choose 21 things to take with us to the next world, what would these 21 things be?’

Over a period of nearly three years, Tim and Clare emailed each other with their choices and the reasons for them – a dialogue about memory and mortality that led them into friendship.

Both Tim and Clare have faced serious and life-changing health issues in recent years and their project will speak to anyone who has been forced to face their own mortality. Expect to laugh, cry and maybe sing along.

Join us on Thursday 18th February at Brighton and Sussex Medical School to visit the museum and hear Clare and Tim discuss their unique experience.

The museum will open at 6.00pm and the talk will commence at 6.30pm, after the talk the museum and bar will remain open until 8.30pm.

Entrance is free but places must be booked.
