Funding opportunities

WTCGHR is one of five Wellcome Trust Centres for Global Health Research, and seeks to attract and develop the most talented scientists at all stages of their research careers. Our goal, together with our African Collaboration Centres is to develop the next generation of top class research fellows, supporting them to achieve their own research objectives and career goals.

Our Centre actively supports candidates when developing a research proposal, offering crucial academic guidance and professional assistance to build a competitive proposal.

We are also able to offer targeted financial support to promising fellowship candidates as per the two grants below.

Research Development Fund

Early Career Researchers, with association to our African Collaboration Centres, were invited to apply for this fund throughout the year without any deadlines. The total value of this grant was up to £10,000. Please note that this grant has now closed.
