Clinical Assistant Professor in Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus (NIHR – Dementia Theme)
Hours: Full-time of 40 hours per week (50% research/50% clinical training).
Salary: Junior Doctor Pay Scale Dependent on clinical work being undertaken in the NHS. If this is not the case, your salary will be assessed based on your skills, experience and relevant qualifications to allocate your pay to the appropriate pay grade of University of Sussex Pay scales. An exception may be made if you are a Junior Doctor in training undertaking this role as part of an approved Out of Programme Research application.

Anatomy Demonstrator

The individual will be joining an award-winning team that teach 3,000 students a year and deliver outstanding anatomical education to a range of programmes including allied-heath, medicine and higher surgical training. As an Anatomy Demonstrator you will play an important role in our students’ development through guidance, support, and delivery of high-quality anatomical teaching and assessment. You will teach and supervise students during a range of teaching sessions, including dissection and prosection sessions, living anatomy and ultrasound sessions, and revision sessions. You will also be required to produce teaching resources and learning materials, including the creation of prosections.

Research and Teaching Fellow in Carbon Analysis for Healthcare

As a research fellow, you will be working within the MRC-funded transdisciplinary hub to decarbonise commissioning and delivery of healthcare – known as the Green Healthcare Hub. This role will be based at BSMS supporting the team to develop carbon analysis capacity to support healthcare professionals to deliver & measure low carbon care (Theme 5). This role will sit within the department of Global Health and Infection at BSMS working within the Sustainability team under Prof Mahmood Bhutta.
