ACADEMIC VACANCIES

Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (Honorary Consultant)

Hours: Full time. Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need).
Salary: Consultant NHS Pay Scale - Dependent on clinical work being undertaken in the NHS. If this is not the case, your salary will be assessed based on your skills, experience and relevant qualifications to allocate your pay to the appropriate pay grade of University of Sussex Pay scales.
Contract Type: Permanent

BSMS is inviting applications for the post of Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (Honorary Consultant Physician). We are specifically seeking an enthusiastic clinical pharmacologist who is innovative in their approach to teaching and learning and also interested in research. An interest in clinical pharmacology education and an established academic track record in this subject area is advantageous but there is flexibility to align with the applicants specific interests.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES STAFF VACANCIES

Curriculum and Assessment Officer (Phase 2/3)

Hours: Full time of 1 FTE/ 36.5 hours per week. Hybrid office & working from home permitted. Unfortunately, we cannot consider job shares for this role.
Salary: Grade 5 starting at £30,378 to £34,610 per annum, pro rata if part time.
Contract Type: Permanent

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible

As a Curriculum and Assessment Officer at BSMS, you will play a central role in delivering assessments across the medical programme. You will work closely with academic leads, examiners, administrators and clinical partners to ensure that all assessments are prepared, monitored and executed to an exceptional standard. In this role, you will also take responsibility for key stages of the exam cycle- supporting question collation, formatting and quality‑assurance processes, assembling exam papers, and coordinating and delivering written exams.
