Applications for advertised projects

If you are applying for a specific project that has been advertised, there is no need to write a research proposal. Simply give the details provided in the advertisement in the Research Proposal section of the online application form.

Applications for self-motivated projects

If you wish to conduct research on a project that has not been advertised, it is important that you first identify a potential supervisor within Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Details of potential supervisors and their academic interests can be found on their individual researcher profiles. Once you have identified a supervisor it may be worth contacting them directly to discuss your proposed project before submitting application. Please note that funding is not automatically available for self-motivated projects.
