Open days

BSMS offers numerous opportunities to visit campus, with open days in June and more intimate meet and greets throughout the spring and summer terms. Please note that bookings for our open days will open in Spring 2020. You can book on to one of our meet and greets below.

Open days

Our Open Days give you the opportunity to look around the campus, meet current medical students and staff, and ask questions about studying here at BSMS.

For prospective BSMS students applying for September 2021 entry, we are offering a number of opportunities to visit us throughout the academic year.

Our Saturday Open Day will take place alongside that of the University of Sussex, while our Sunday Open Day will be run solely by us.

They will take place on:

  • Saturday 6 June 2020
  • Sunday 7 June 2020

You can book onto the Saturday 6 June 2020 Open Day here on the University of Sussex website. Bookings for the Sunday 7 June 2020 Open Day will be opening soon on this page - please check back for details.

Open day activities

The main presentations will include an introduction to BSMS, our course structure and student life.

In addition, you will hear from a member of our Anatomy Department on how we teach anatomy and cadaveric dissection here at BSMS and watch a video about our clinical skills teaching.

In the BSMS Foyer you will be able to:

  • Get involved with teaching and learning demonstrations led by current BSMS students
  • Talk with our patient educators, admissions staff, our Medical Society and current students.

BSMS meet and greets

For those who cannot make it to our Open Days, we run smaller visits on three afternoons throughout spring.

Unfortunately, in line with recent government advice to limit unnecessary public gatherings, BSMS has taken the decision to cancel all Spring Meet and Greets.

How to get to us

Parking spaces are currently extremely limited on the University of Sussex Campus so we encourage everyone to travel by public transport where possible.

Upon arrival on the University of Sussex Campus, look out for our student ambassadors in red t-shirts and for signage to direct you to the Medical School Research Building (number 45 on the BSMS/University of Sussex campus map) to register.

Limited Parking Spaces will be available and will be confirmed via email to registered attendees nearer the time.
