‘Gender and health outcomes for women in all their diversity’

For International Women's Day, Dr Rageshri Dhairyawan, Consultant in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine at Barts Health NHS Trust, will discuss how gender may affect health outcomes for women in all of their diversity, from research to experiences of healthcare.

About this webinar

Dr Dhairyawan is a Consultant in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine at Barts Health NHS Trust and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. Her research and advocacy focus on reducing health inequalities in sexual health and beyond. She is a co-founder of SAHAR (South Asian HIV Advisory Resource), a trustee of SWIFT (the Supporting Women with HIV Information Network), chairs the steering group of 4M (a national network of perinatal HIV peer mentors), and medical advisor to NAZ, a charity aimed at improving the sexual health of racially minoritised communities. She Chairs the British HIV Association External Relations Subcommittee and is Education Lead for advocacy group, Race and Health.

This talk has been organised by the BSMS Inclusivity team to mark International Women's Day 2021.
