About this session

Everyone has their own assumptions about what working as a GP entails, but there is a lot more to it than diagnosing and treating disease. In this lecture, Dr Jake Bush hopes to show you what working as a GP truly involves, the various roles and responsibilities, unseen work, and ultimately why general practice is such a fantastic career option for aspiring medics.

Dr Bush is a recently qualified GP working in a fairly large practice. He attended BSMS and then University Hospitals Southampton for Foundation Training, before working in University Hospitals Sussex as a fellow in elderly care/frailty and subsequently GP training. Jake also developed the prototype for the BSMS Virtual Work Experience course.

This talk is part of the BSMS Outreach Monthly Lecture Series and will be conducted via Zoom. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide certificates of attendance for this event.

If you have any questions about this event, or the Monthly Lecture Series, please email the Outreach Team via outreach@bsms.ac.uk
