Assessment regulations

PEAR

The exam board and assessment regulations for the undergraduate MBBS course are contained within a document called ‘PEAR’.

This document includes all the regulations which govern the course and is used by staff and students to understand how their exams are regulated and progression determined. This document is updated regularly to ensure BSMS keeps up with best practice.

These same regulations are described in more user-friendly terms in student and staff facing documents held on MyStudies. My Studies is the virtual learning environment used by BSMS.

PGTEAR

The exam board and assessment regulations for the Postgraduate Taught courses at BSMS are the Postgraduate Taught Examination and Assessment Regulations (PGTEAR). These regulations set out the principles by which all taught courses are assessed, credit is awarded and awards conferred.

The full regulations for courses, together with course specific regulations must be made available to students and external examiners and these can be found in documents accessible to students and staff on Mystudies, the virtual learning environment employed by BSMS.
