Professor Dorina Cadar, Professor of Ageing and Behavioural Science at Brighton and Sussex Medical School and Director of the CEDAR Lab, led The Art of Resilience for Successful Ageing, one of the exhibits featured at this year's Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition along with the Resilience Team of postgraduate students from BSMS and Sussex.
The interactive exhibit explored the science of resilience and highlighted how lifestyle, social connections and psychological wellbeing contribute to healthier ageing and brain health across the life course.

The Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition Soirée brought together Royal Society Fellows, leading researchers, policymakers, funders and industry partners, providing an exceptional opportunity to discuss future collaborations and showcase BSMS research to a distinguished audience.
The event also gave BSMS students a unique opportunity to engage with some of the UK's leading scientists and experience one of the country's most prestigious scientific events firsthand.
The team were delighted to welcome senior leaders from the University of Sussex, including Professor Sasha Roseneil (Vice Chancellor), Professor Maria Fasli (Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation), Professor Robin Banerjee (Pro-Vice Chancellor for Global and Civic Engagement) and Professor Luc Moreau Executive Dean, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine). Their visit reflected the University's commitment to supporting world-leading research, public engagement and innovation in healthy ageing.
The Soirée was a wonderful celebration of scientific excellence, collaboration and the growing importance of resilience and successful ageing research in addressing the challenges of an ageing population.
