Biography

Ayse is a part-time research assistant, supporting Dr. Nina Lockwood on her autism and suicide ARC KSS funded research project. Prior to this, Ayse held a research assistant position here at BSMS where she supported the InterRAI Self-Reported Assessment for Mental Health (SAMH) UK pilot study. Ayse completed her BSc Psychology (2020), MSc Psychological Research Methods, and is awaiting her PhD Health Science viva defence (end of 2025, thesis submitted 2025), which NIHR ARC KSS funded. Throughout her studies, Ayse contributed to a range of research projects at different universities, covering a wide variety of topics such as, digital inequalities, digital technology, evaluating training programs, mental health, autism, intellectual disabilities and the older population.

Ayse has an interest in patient and public involvement, along with co-designed and co-produced research.
