Biography
Dr Eleanor Glenday graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ medical school, University of London in 2005. During her time at medical school Dr Glenday also completed an intercalated degree in Neuroscience with Basical Medical Sciences gaining 1st class honours. Dr Glenday completed her Paediatric training in Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery. During her Paediatric training, Dr Glenday completed a Masters (MA) in Clinical Leadership and Commissioning at the University of Brighton for which she received a Distinction following a dissertation on the role of Debriefing in Paediatrics.
In 2018, Dr Glenday was appointed Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in epilepsy in an acute trust. During this appointment, Dr Glenday was Simulation lead for the hospital, involved in delivering teaching and education to those in undergraduate and postgraduate medicine, as well as professionals in the multidisciplinary team such as nurses.
Dr Glenday is also an instructor on the EPALS resuscitation training courses. Dr Glenday now works in community Paediatrics where she is departmental lead for education. Dr Glenday works as a clinical and educational supervisor during her consultant role. In addition, Dr Glenday is a personal tutor for a cohort of BSMS medical students. Dr Glenday also regularly teaches paediatric trainees, medical students; and nursing students at the University of Brighton.
