There has been a transformation in cancer treatment and people are living longer than ever with the disease. But what are the implications of this for their quality of life? Professor of Psycho Oncology at Brighton and Sussex Medical School and Director of Sussex Health Outcomes Research and Education (SHORE-C), Professor Dame Lesley Fallowfield was recently awarded a DBE for her work in psycho oncology. In this talk she will discuss her team's research, explaining why it's crucial in a world where many cancers are now considered a chronic condition.
