About this session
Professor Claire Smith (Head of Anatomy) and Dr Michael Koenig (Histopathologist) will take you on a journey through your intestines. They will follow the route of your food and highlight key structures and clinical conditions.
The session on Zoom will use examples of human diseased specimens in jars - what this looks like under the microscope, and animal intestines to show normal anatomy.
We will highlight how you can look after your gut and when symptoms should be checked out by a doctor.
Age: Aimed at 10+.
