About this event

Join Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) for a very special Valentine’s Day event, as our anatomy team explore the scientific wonders of the heart.

Our anatomists will take you on a guided tour of this remarkable organ while dissecting a real one live. You will see how blood enters the heart, where the real heartstrings are and understand how it beats.

Please note: the team will be dissecting animal hearts only.

At the end of the tour, you can even get your gloves on and get involved! The dissection will be followed by Q&As.

The session will be run by Prof Claire Smith, seen most recently in Channel 4’s pioneering documentary My Dead Body, with Danya Stone and Dominic O’Brien, Lecturers in Anatomy at BSMS.

This event has now sold out.
