About this event

Join Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) for a very special Valentine’s Day event, as our anatomy team explore the scientific wonders of the heart.

Our anatomists will take you on a guided tour of this remarkable organ while dissecting a real one live. You will see how blood enters the heart, where the real heartstrings are and understand how it beats.

At the end of the tour, you can even get your gloves on and get involved! The dissection will be followed by Q&As.

This evening event will take place in The Tusk Club room of The Walrus pub in central Brighton. Please note that there is no step-free entrance to the venue and access is either through the pub or via a separate entrance with a staircase of approximately 12 steps. Seating is available for the event. For more information on the venue, including directions, visit The Walrus' website here >

Please note: the team will be dissecting animal hearts.
