We’re delighted to announce that the 30th Annual Meeting of the British and Irish Chapter of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (BIC-ISMRM) will take place in Brighton, hosted by Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

Tuesday 9 September 2025: BIC-ISMRM Workshop on Advanced in vivo MRS methods for studying metabolism, physiology and cytomorphology.

Wednesday 10 September – Thursday 11 September 2025: BIC-ISMRM Annual Meeting.

About this event

We’re delighted to announce that the 30th Annual Meeting of the British and Irish Chapter of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (BIC-ISMRM) will take place in Brighton, hosted by Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

Set amidst the South Downs and just minutes from Brighton’s famous beachfront, this landmark event will bring together researchers, clinicians, and professionals from across the UK and Ireland to showcase the latest innovations in MRI research and practice.

Abstract submission

Abstract submission is now open for the 2025 BIC-ISMRM to be held between 10 and 11 September 2025. 

The deadline for submission is 23:59 on Friday 8 August 2025. 

Abstracts should be submitted using the form linked below. Reviewing will be double blind, so we ask you to submit two concatenated copies of your abstract: one complete abstract and one de-identified abstract i.e. with the authors, affiliation and acknowledgements deleted. 

The abstract format broadly follows that used by the main ISMRM meeting but excluding the Synopsis & Impact sections. There is a limit of 750 words for the body of the abstract (not including references), up to 5 figures with 500 characters per caption and typeset using size 11 Calibri (main text) and 10 Calibri (captions). See detailed instructions on the template provided.

Accommodation

Our accommodation contains a single ensuite accommodation with towels, bedsheets and toilet paper, shared kitchen facilities and communal areas. A 24 hour reception team is located at the entrance of the accommodation.
