About this event

This Valentine’s Day, join Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) for a unique scientific experience - opening up the secrets of the heart.

Join us for a live, hands-on exploration as BSMS anatomists guide you through the inner workings of this incredible organ. You’ll see how blood flows through its chambers, discover the “real” heartstrings, and learn what makes it beat.

You’ll even have the chance to get hands-on. With guidance from medical staff and students, you can explore a lamb heart yourself and see anatomy in action.

After the dissection, stay for a Q&A with the experts, where you can ask questions about the heart, its functions, and the science behind it.

Please note: the team will be dissecting animal hearts.
