About the conference

We are delighted to announce that the Menstruation Research Conference this year will be co-hosted by 4M (Menarche, Menstruation, Menopause & Mental Health) Consortium and the Menstruation Research Network (MRN) at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School, University of Sussex, on 7 and 8 July 2026.

We look forward to bringing together researchers, clinicians, industry partners, policymakers, charities, artists, and community voices. The conference will explore menstruation as a psychosocial, biomedical and environmental experience across the life course.

Travel

By train

Falmer Station is a short walk from the campus and the Jubilee Building, where the conference is being held. Regular trains run from:

  • Brighton (around 9 minutes)
  • Lewes (around 7 minutes)
  • Eastbourne / Seaford / Hastings with connections via Lewes or Brighton. 

By bus

Several routes stop directly outside campus on the A27/Falmer Station side, including frequent services from:

  • Brighton city centre (23, 25, 28, 29)
  • Lewes and East Sussex (28, 29)

Buses drop you within a short walk of the Jubilee Building. 

By bicycle

The campus is accessible by dedicated cycle paths linking:

  • Brighton and the seafront
  • Lewes via National Cycle Network routes 

Secure bike racks are located at numerous points on campus.
