Celebrating academic promotions at BSMS

Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) is delighted to announce the academic promotion of a number of colleagues across our departments, recognising their outstanding contributions to teaching, research and leadership.

The following staff have been promoted:

  • Global Health and Infection: Saeideh Babashahi, Vasso Anagnostopoulou and Hope Simpson (Senior Research Fellows); Papreen Nahar (Research Professor)
  • Department of Medical Education: Sebastian Shaw (Associate Professor), Tilly Paz (Associate Professor), Elaney Youssef (Associate Professor), Sara Donetto (Associate Professor)
  • Primary Care and Public Health: Dunx Shrewsbury (Professor)
  • Clinical Neuroscience: Lisa Quadt (Principal Research Fellow), Natasha Sigala (Professor), Dorina Cadar (Professor)
  • Clinical and Experimental Medicine: Simon Mitchell (Professor)
