Community health volunteers
We are looking for enthusiastic, non-judgemental volunteers to sign up to receive fully funded motivational behaviour change training from the National Centre for Behaviour Change UK (NCBC). You do not need to have any specific qualifications or previous experience with health coaching.
Volunteers will act as Community Health Volunteers for the SPICES project. At each location, the Community Health Volunteers will be supported by the local community organisations. As a Community Health Volunteer you will provide one to one coaching sessions via Zoom to participants from your own community to set goals to improve their health and support them to achieve these goals to improve their overall heart health.
The areas that we are recruiting from include:
- Whitehawk
- Hangleton and the Knoll
- Hastings
- St. Leonards
- Newhaven
Our volunteers are key to the overall success of the SPICES project.
“The way of implementing it and designing it, can be bottom up and that’s what we’re trying to do.” Community partner organisation
As well as receiving fully funded motivational behavior change training by an accredited provider, you will also receive:
- Travel and childcare costs
- A professional reference if suitable
