Welcome to the Sussex Research Engagement Network (REN)

The Sussex REN is helping more people from different communities to take part in health and care research. By ensuring that research reflects the needs of a wider range of people, the REN supports better outcomes for communities across Sussex. A key focus of our work is engaging with communities who are less likely to be reached by health and care research, to ensure that the benefits are inclusive and equitable.

The Sussex REN brings together local organisations including universities, hospitals, GPs, councils, voluntary sector and community groups. We are working together so that research is easier for communities to understand and join. Building long lasting, trusting relationships with our communities is a core part of the REN.
